At night, upon dusk, the solar garden lamp is lit from the power that it has absorbed during the day. Most models of solar lamps have a burn time of about 6 hours with a fully charges battery. This is plenty of time to enjoy your outdoor area in the evenings.

In addtion, if you are in need of lighting that will be on all throughout the night, then solar garden lighting is probably not the best solution. As there is a general burn time of about 6 hours, in winter your solar lamps will last you until about midnight. In the summer, you can possibly achieve more. Solar lighting can also also be great additional lighting to compliment or add extra atmosphere to your garden.
